About Hill Country Buyers Club
The Hill Country Buyers Club is an organization that holds events throughout the year as fundraisers with the goal of supporting 4-H and FFA members of Burnet and surrounding counties with their livestock projects.
In the 2023-24 fundraising year, HCBC raised $142,747.56 through events, such as the Denim & Diamonds Fundraising Gala, Back to School Fish Fry, Gun and Meat Raffles, catering fish fries and BBQ Events, plus generous donations from sponsors.
We used $71,933.34 of these funds to support 123 exhibitors from 8 counties at the following Livestock Auctions:
- Burnet County Livestock Show
- Llano County Livestock Show
- Lampasas County Livestock Show
- Williamson County Livestock
- Hill District Grandstand
In addition to supporting exhibitors through livestock auctions, HCBC chose to set aside $10,250 to be used as scholarships towards future projects for 13 applicants. Through these scholarships, we hope to encourage more youth to join FFA and 4-H and enjoy the many benefits of these programs as well as the lessons learned from raising a livestock project.
